Note: The result will show all of the applications that prevent you from sleeping. From the list of results, try to identify the perpetrator and uninstall it. If the problem appears to be caused by a software programme you installed, uninstall it from the control panel.

- Disable it for both On Battery and Plugged in Options if you’re using a laptop.
3. Allow Computer To Sleep
First and foremost, make sure that your PC’s fundamental power settings are set to default so that it can sleep. Third-party applications can sometimes meddle with settings and make modifications that cause problems, such as sleep mode not working in Windows 10. To restore the default power settings, follow these steps:
- In the Windows 10 search box, type Edit Power Plan.
- From the search results, select the Edit power plan icon.
- A new window will appear. Select Change advanced power settings from the drop-down menu.

- You can also open the Multimedia settings option in the Power Options box, and then expand the When sharing media option. Allow the computer to sleep from the drop-down menu for both On battery and Plugged in options.
